Settling in

My journey through concepts and ideas are surely developing and i find myself defining the area on which i wont to focus my project on. Movement is everywhere. Its around us 24/7.
I started off by thinking about journeys but in a mental manner, ie growing and traveling through life. I then simplified my idea into doors which  are supposed to represent these stages off life. I then finely focused this idea by drawing my attention to locks in particular.
Locks became my starting point for which i want to focus my studies on. I found through researching this idea, locks can symbolise a great amount. Freedom, Change, Love etc.. I also found that there are many different types of locks, not just the typical bolt lock or combination lock. For example Zips, Envelopes, Ties and Lids are all types of locks. Body gestures such as crossing one's arms are also types f locks I think that choosing this topic is a good choice as it a broad theme and will allow me to develop different thoughts and ideas all based around the same subject. I find locks strangely fascinating as they are a symbol of mystery or even power. They may be just a simple mechanism but to me locks are quite interesting as they may hold the unknown.

Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night ...

So "Movement and Motion" eh? Yes you are quite the Project Brief! Basically anything and everything in the world. I find myself continually analysing my surroundings, even last night at 4:00am I woke up with a rush of ideas... this is the result of my sleep-writing. I know, I know... it looks like a jumble of jibberish, but it does make sense. I wonder why I get creative surges in the morning?

Anyways, I went on a road trip yesterday (September 17th) in search for some inspiration for the Project Brief. It was an interesting journey... even though I ended up in some strange villages! I found the trip itself to be symbolic of movement and motion. Movement is not just physical but also so a mental state of being. We are always maturing, therefore we are always moving.
